“The desire to become your personal best - to excel, to attain the highest standards of performance, to be supreme in your chosen field - is a worth human pursuit that can lead to ongoing personal growth, a higher-level contribution to others and a more meaningful life.”

Terry Orlick, In Pursuit of Excellence

I offer all round sport and exercise psychology support to athletes, dancers, musicians and performance artists of all ages and levels.

I believe we all posses the potential for excellence in our chosen fields and indeed our everyday lives. My aim is to assist performers in realizing and achieving their own personal potential, joy, love and passion for their individual pursuit. I prefer to work within and observe the performers’ work environment, with a view to empathizing and understanding the demands of those performers, however I am happy to consult in any environment available.

I believe through my substantial experience as a professionally trained dancer and a Level 1 tennis coach, I have a powerful understanding of the demands placed on athletes, performing artists and coaches, and as such can empathize with a wide variety of situations that may arise in those domains.

I specialize in:

• All aspects of performance for professional athletes and sports men and women.

• All aspects of performance for elite dancers, musicians, opera singers and performing artists.

• The efficacy of music in sport and exercise

PERFORMANCE POTENTIAL

“Here, in this palm-like seaweed was the tenacity of life, the forward thrust of life, the ability to push into an incredibly hostile environment and not only hold its own, but to adapt, develop, become itself.”

Carl Rogers

“Slowly the thinker went on his way and asked himself: What is it that you wanted to learn from teachings and teachers, and although they taught you much, what was it they could not teach you? And he thought: It was the Self, the character and nature of which I wished to learn. “I wanted to rid myself of the Self, to conquer it, but I could not conquer it, I could only deceive it, could only fly from it. Truly, nothing in this world has occupied my thoughts as much as the Self, this riddle, that I live, that I am one and am separate and different from everybody else, that I am Siddartha; and about nothing in the world do I know less than about myself, about Siddartha.”

Hermann Hesse, Siddartha

“To live your life in your own way, to reach for the goals you have set for yourself, to be the one that you want to be - that is success.”
